Summer Playlist 2017

summer playlist 2017

Let me tell you about bangers. There are some bangers on this summer playlist that incorporates fun and chill late nights that can be a go-to for the duration of the warm weather.

Many of these artists, like Courtlin Jabrae and Glass Animals make appearances in this mix, and bring an outstanding vibe to the compilation. Jabrae, for one has forced his hustle since the early 2000’s and his minuscule presence on iTunes reflects a fine-tuned flow that is impossible not to smile at.

And, also very on-brand is a little folk-rock (iTunes labels it “alternative”) group. that I was happy to come across. Judah & the Lion is an indie group whose second album Folk Hop N’ Roll is a terrific and somewhat fresh play on genre melding. With melodies driven by the mandolin and banjo (played by Brian Macdonald and Nate Zuercher) meshed with rhythmic patterns traditionally used in hip hop, the album is one to check out in its entirety.
